Seeking a creative, enthusiastic, disciplined content creator to join the seoplus+ team. As a content marketing specialist, you are responsible for developing and writing informative and engaging content for our company and clients.
You are comfortable working in a non-traditional environment, and want to support company growth by confidently bringing new ideas and a unique perspective to each job. You are comfortable communicating with others in a team environment, and able to work directly with clients.
Develop, pitch, research, author, edit, and optimize website content, blog content, and long-form content (including press releases, eBooks, whitepapers, guides, infographics, interviews, case studies) that align with clients’ digital marketing objectives.
Author blog posts, social posts, and long-form content that is well-researched, thoughtful, and aligns with seoplus+ values and voice.
Achieve blog deliverables and any associated content tasks on a monthly basis.
Coordinate with client for content review on a monthly basis.
Post blogs to client website according to content calendar schedule with all required formatting.
Share client blogs on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, YouTube) according to content calendar schedule.
Plan and execute content marketing strategy for clients including research, target audience identification, brand messaging, and continued coordination with client.
Coordinate outreach strategies including prospecting, outreach, writing, and follow-up.
Seek out PR opportunities for clients and follow through with outreach and content creation as needed.
Collaborate with client and other team members to serve the client’s best interest in every regard.
Ensure client satisfaction and work proactively to address any customer issues.
Stay informed and up-to-date with the latest innovations, features, and best practices in content marketing.
Promote content writing and its role in digital marketing.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
Ability to create original, thoughtful work on a daily basis.
Ability to communicate ideas in a clear, concise, and engaging fashion.
Ability to quickly assimilate new information and translate it into interesting content.
Exceptional English language writing and grammar skills.
Highly proficient proofreading and editing skills.
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Word and Google Apps
Meticulous attention to detail; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills.
Proactive; takes ownership; highly organized; responsible and independent; very punctual and deadline-driven.
Comfortable collaborating with others and working as part of a team.
Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and social media marketing best practices.
Familiarity with Shopify and WordPress.
Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube) and ability to create posts according to best practices.
Basic knowledge of Google Analytics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, and Hootsuite.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and Illustrator).
Fluency in French and ability to write/translate specialized French content is highly preferred.
