Digital Marketing Specialist

We are currently looking to hire a full-time digital marketing specialist to work at our head office in downtown Ottawa. The ideal candidate is a self-starting, enthusiastic, and driven professional, looking to further their own career and education with constant innovation.
You are comfortable working in a non-traditional environment, and want to support company growth by confidently bringing new ideas and a unique perspective to each job. You are comfortable communicating with others in a team environment, and able to work directly with clients.
Responsibilities include managing social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities:
Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers.
Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).
Monitor, listen and respond to users while cultivating leads and sales.
Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions.
Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts.
Oversee design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, Blog, etc.).
Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns.
Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
Develop organizational elements in order to implement a proactive process for capturing happy, loyal customer online reviews.
Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed.
Compile reports for management showing results (ROI).
Proven social media marketing experience
Passion for best practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas.
Exceptional English language writing and grammar skills.
Highly proficient proofreading and editing skills.
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Word and Google Apps
Meticulous attention to detail; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills.
Proactive; takes ownership; highly organized; responsible and independent; very punctual and deadline-driven.
Bonus: Proven LinkedIn B2B marketing experience
Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and social media marketing best practices.
Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube) and ability to create posts according to best practices.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and Illustrator).
